HONOLULU (July 21, 2016) – The Chamber of Commerce Hawaii announces two new staff members and a staff promotion.
Glen Higa has been named vice president of membership, responsible for developing and executing the Chamber’s membership sales and retention strategies. He previously served as vice president of advertising sales with OpConnect Hawaii and general manager for Aloha Sports Properties. With a sales background spanning more than 22 years, Higa also worked in sales positions at the University of Hawaii Athletics Department, ESPN 1420 radio and KHON television station. He graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a bachelor’s degree in journalism/public relations.
Natasha Inouye has been appointed administrative coordinator, facilitating the Chamber’s daily functions including managing the front desk, responding to general inquiries and administrative duties, as well as providing program support to the Chamber’s departments. She has worked in customer service at the Disney Store, Borders Books and Music, as well as Island Brew LLC. She graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a bachelor’s degree in European history.
Jenny Lee has been promoted to director of business advocacy and development serving to help monitor and track the 2,000+ legislative bills that get introduced every session, support the Chamber’s six policy committees, manage the Manufacturing in Hawaii initiative and working to develop new initiatives and events in support of promoting Hawaii’s economic climate. She graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a bachelor’s degree in Asian studies.
