Spartan Race Hawaii
Spartan Race is a series of obstacle races of varying distances and difficulty levels ranging from 3 miles to marathon distance. Spartan Race Hawaii is bringing the entry distance – 3+ mile Sprint to Kualoa Ranch on August 17th 2013. Obstacles vary and are unpredictable. Participants must complete the obstacles or perform burpee-penalty exercises. Many obstacles are present at each Spartan Race, including but not limited to fire jump, barbed wire crawl, wall climb, object carry, Tyrolean traverse, and spear throw. Unlike other companies, Spartan Race does not provide a course map or list of obstacles to their participants until race day.
We are committed to be the world leader in the sport of Obstacle Racing. Within 3 weeks of Hawaii Sprint open registration (registration opened 5/15/13), we have 3,500 participants signed up. 8,000 to 10,000 participants are expected to come from all over the world. The Chamber of Commerce gives us the opportunity to spread the word out to local businesses, especially to businesses who want to present their brands in front of 10,000 racers and their families.
We have figured out that as much as civilization has gotten away from the need to apply the incredible potential within the human body to accomplish anything and or make a good living, we cannot get away from the biological need to feel alive. Lead your employees to participate as a team. The sense of accomplishment that empowers the individual as they master obstacles together on the course articulates teamwork in subsequent real life challenges of the work field.
