Matt Spencer Named Director of Events and Special Projects, Kelly Lum Ho Named Membership Sales Executive

HONOLULU (October 21, 2014) – The Chamber of Commerce Hawaii has named Matt Spencer to director of events and special projects responsible for overseeing the execution, planning and implementation of all of the Chamber’s events, as well as the Chamber’s Young Professionals program. He most recently served with DTRIC Insurance in marketing and events and has broad event planning experience with UH Athletics and Hawaii Winter Baseball, Isle Concierge and Aloha Agency. He received his bachelor’s in fine arts and master’s of educational technology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Kelly Lum Ho joins the Chamber as Membership Sales Executive. She most recently worked for KHON2 as a digital account Executive, assisting clients with strategic online advertising, including search, display, video and mobile marketing. She previously served as a media consultant with Paradise YellowBook, as well as with Sprint PCS Hawaii and Pacific LightNet, Inc. in customer service and sales.

As the leading “Voice of Business” in Hawaii, the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii is the state’s largest organization advocating for businesses in Hawaii. Established in 1850, the Chamber works on behalf of its approximately 1,000 member companies and the business community, as a whole, to advance the state’s economic climate and help businesses succeed. The Chamber supports its members with training, business building and networking opportunities; coordinates advocacy activities for members’ involvement; and serves as a liaison between civilian and military communities in Hawaii.
