Aloha Section PGA was established in 1976, and is comprised of 236 PGA Golf Professionals at 90 green grass and indoor facilities statewide. As a non-profit 501(c)(6) organization the Aloha Section PGA (ASPGA) represents The Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA) as the lead golf organization for the state of Hawaii. The PGA of America was founded in 1916 and is the world’s largest sports organization comprised of 27,000 men and women golf professionals. As the experts in the business and game of golf, the Aloha Section PGA promotes the enjoyment and involvement of the game and contributes to its growth by providing services to golf professionals and the golf industry. The Aloha Section PGA also continues to perpetuate competitive playing opportunities for players by managing two of Hawaii’s premier golf tournaments for local amateurs and professionals. The Hawaii State Open, established in 1920 and the Mid-Pacific Open established in 1956 are two of Hawaii’s longest run events supported exclusively by local companies statewide. 
In 2003, The Aloha Section PGA Foundation, (a non-profit 501(c)(3) philanthropic arm of the ASPGA) was created with the mission to develop and promote interest in the game of golf while enhancing the lives of those that participate. Today the ASPGA Foundation has gifted over $100,000 in continuing education scholarships for juniors, continues to educate businesses and industry leaders of the “state of the game” with the biennial Hawaii Golf Industry Conference, provide countless FREE growth of the game initiatives with our allied associations and strives to place a golf club in the hands of every new juniors aspiring to be future players. We joined the Chamber to advance and support Hawaii’s vibrant economy. The Chamber has always represented the “voice of business” in Hawaii and provides great resources for business development. We’re proud to support the organization.
