The Chamber’s Voice of Business segment on KHVH News Radio 830 airs every Tuesday, 8:00-8:30am, on the Rick Hamada Show, keeping the community informed on the pulse of business in Hawaii. Click below to hear guest interviews.

• December 1 – Bianca Mordasini, Director of Communications & Marketing, Chamber of Commerce Hawaii, and Executive Director of the Chamber’s Young Professionals Program; and Jennifer Hee, Chair, Young Professionals Steering Committee, discuss the Young Professionals (YP) Chamber program, designed to offer young professionals, ages 21-39, opportunities to exchange ideas, grow professionally, share common interests and get an insider’s view of Hawaii’s business scene. In its 4^th year, YP membership has grown to nearly 200 members. Jennifer and Bianca share the YP program, history, initiatives and the upcoming end-of-year Holiday Party on December 11.

• November 24 – Randy Cain, Director of Membership Programs, Chamber of Commerce Hawaii, shares information about his role with the Chamber, reasons for joining the Chamber, as well as membership benefits and member success stories.

• November 17- Allison Izu Song and Summer Shiigi of The Cut Collective discuss the creation of The Cut Collective program, success stories and their involvement with the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii’s Manufacturing in Hawaii Program, a joint partnership with INNOVATE Hawaii, administered by the High Technology Development Corporation (HTDC).

• November 3 – Pamela Tumpap, President, Maui Chamber of Commerce, provides an update on Maui Chamber activities and business news from Maui. She has been actively involved in the Chamber’s Hawaii on the Hill initiative over the past two years, representing her members and products and services on Capitol Hill.

• October 27 – Caroline Carl, Deputy Program Manager, Operations of Hawaii Energy, discusses how Hawaii Energy helps residents and businesses save energy and money on their electric bills, including their ratepayer-funded energy conservation and efficiency program, as well as incentive programs for businesses.

• October 20 –  Dean Uchida, deputy manager and senior project manager, SSFM International engineering firm, discusses his role as Chair and work related to the Chamber’s Infrastructure, Transportation and Quality of Life policy committee, as well as the 2015 Houseless in Honolulu BIA event on November 10 with panel discussions about how policymakers and business can restore a healthy house market at all prices. 

• October 13 – Sherry Menor-McNamara, Chamber President and CEO, shares information on the Chamber’s collaboration with other business organizations in support of business in Hawaii.

• September 29 – Pono Chong, Chamber Vice President of Business Advocacy and Development, and Wayne Inouye, INNOVATE Hawaii Director, discuss the Manufacturing in Hawaii Initiative, its accomplishments, where initiative is headed and what it means for Hawaii.

• September 22 – Kamakana Kaimuloa, Chamber Vice President of Military Affairs, and Mike Yadao, Economic Liaison, Office of Transition, Employment, and Economic Impact, discuss the Veterans Economic Community Initiative to connect veterans, as well as transitioning active-duty military, with employers who are interested in hiring veterans.

• September 15, 2015 – Reg Baker, Chair, Chamber Small Business & Entrepreneurship Advocacy Committee, and Regional Chair, Small Business Association, discusses the small business climate in Hawaii.

• September 8, 2015 – Sherry Menor-McNamara, Chamber President and CEO, provides an update on Chamber activities and what’s ahead for the organization.
