National Manufacturing Day is a growing grassroots movement of manufacturers dedicated to overcoming their collective challenges and helping their communities thrive. Hundreds of U.S. manufacturers across the nation will participate in Manufacturing Day by hosting open houses, public tours, career workshops and other events.
What started out as a popular half-day bus crawl featuring four of Oahu’s manufacturers has been expanded to a series of events and tours throughout the state. See why local manufacturers are a vital part to our community and how they contribute to the state and national economy.
The Chamber of Commerce Hawaii, in partnership with neighbor island Chambers, Innovate Hawaii, the U.S. Economic Development Administration and others, are producing Manufacturing Week in Hawaii, including the following events:
 

Monday, September 28:  Manufacturing Bus Tour – Maui

  • Prompt bus pickup at 8am at War Memorial
  • Tour will include: HC&S, Maui Soda & Ice Works/Roselani, Haliimaile/Maui Gold, and Pau Maui Vodka
  • Lunch will be provided and bus to return to War Memorial at 1:15pm

Tuesday, September 29:  ASSEMBLE 2015 – Manufacturer Suppliers Show and Expo

  • Complimentary to attend, registration required; includes complimentary ticket to HFIA Made in Hawaii Show & Networking Social that follows immediately from 6:00pm-9:00pm

Wednesday, September 30:  2nd Small Biz Academy

  • Choose from 12 complimentary workshops designed to help you start a business or to help run your current operations more effectively and profitably

Thursday, October 1:  Manufacturing Bus Tour – Oahu

  • Prompt bus pickup at 8am at the State Capitol
  •  Tour will include: Coastal Windows, Meadow Gold, Maui Divers, and the UH College of Engineering
  • Lunch will be provided by the UH College of Engineering and bus will return to the State Capitol at 1:30pm

Friday, October 2:  Manufacturing Bus Tour – Hilo

  • Prompt bus pickup at 8am at Wailoa Visitor Center Eternal Flame parking lot
  • Tour will include: HPM Building Supply Shipman Manufacturing Plant, Pacific Biodiesel, Mehana Brewing Company, and Meadow Gold Dairies Hilo processing plant/KTA Super Stores Mountain Apple brand
  • Snacks will be provided by Big Island Delights. Lunch will also be provided and the bus will return to the Wailoa Visitor Center at 1:00pm

Friday, October 2: Manufacturing Bus Tour – Kauai

  • Tour begins promptly at 8:45am at Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall parking lot
  • Tour will include: Monkey Pod Jam, Papalua Kitchen, Green Energy Hawaii, Kauai Coffee Co., LLC, Kauai Kookie Co., and Koloa Rum Co.
  • Lunch will be provided by Kauai Kookie Co. and bus will return to War Memorial at 2:00pm
