(HONOLULU, HI) August 3, 2017 – Trump International Hotel Waikiki is pleased to announce the promotion of two employees, Jay Kitashima to director of front office and residences and Christopher Flores to department head of food and beverage.
As director of front office and residences, Kitashima will supervise front office operations, ensuring quality guest service and check-in, as well as oversee all aspects of the hotel’s residences program, working closely with unit owners. Kitashima brings more than 13 years of experience in the hotel industry, working with Trump Hotels for nine years, at both the Trump Las Vegas property and as a day one associate at Trump Waikiki. Kitashima most recently served as director of food and beverage, managing the hotel’s two restaurants and event operations. Prior to joining Trump Hotels, he worked at the Bellagio Resort and Casino and Red Rock Resort and Casino.
Flores was promoted from restaurant manager to department head of food and beverage. In this new capacity, he will be responsible for the hotel’s restaurant outlets, including Wai’olu Ocean View Lounge, In-Yō Cafe, as well as in-room private dining, catering, banquets and private functions. Prior to joining Trump Waikiki in 2016, Flores served with a number of well-established restaurants and hotels in California, New York and Hawaii, including The Kahala Hotel, Renaissance Hotels and Hilton properties. Flores brings more than 14 years of experience in the industry.
