Since he was 2 years-old “Spencer” has lived in foster care and is now ready to find someone to call his parents. Hawaii International Child has launched a search to find permanent, prospective adoptive parents for Spencer.
The Iwamoto Family Foundation has rallied to help HIC and has sponsored a video that tells Spencer’s story of struggle and hope. To protect Spencer, the video can only be viewed by eligible adoptive applicants. Those responsible for Spencer have requested that at least one parent be black and that he be adopted by a two-parent family. However, this should not discourage any from applying as the ultimate goal is for Spencer to find the best-suited family as quickly as possible.
Spencer was born and raised in Hawaii. Email Kristine@HawaiiInternationalChild.org with inquiries or call 808.380.1137.
