HONOLULU (Island News) – Business leaders from Las Vegas have arrived in Waikiki for a two-day event with their counterparts from Hawaii.
Vegas Chamber leadership and other elected officials from the State of Nevada will share ideas with Maui, Kauai, and Hawaii Chambers of Commerce at the Vegas Hawaii Business Exchange Summit.
“So there are a lot of similar challenges that we face,” said Vanessa Rogers, Associate Vice President of Workforce Development for the Hawaii Chamber of Commerce.
“Tourism is a leading industry in both of our states, but there are other industries that we’re really trying to lift up. Some things that are in that we have in common with Las Vegas are bringing together industry leaders through kind of platform called sector partnerships, about how we can really help to establish like a kindergarten-to-career pipeline,” Rogers added.
