Last Monday, over 275 people joined the Chamber of Commerce, the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, and the Workforce Development Council for the second annual Future of Work Conference. We want to extend a huge mahalo to all of our sponsors that made the day possible. The day featured a keynote address from Peter Schwartz, data-driven workforce insights, a panel on James Campbell High School's engineering pathway, a presentation on the impact of the inaugural Nakakuli-Waianae internship program and a panel with Hawaii's 2024 Workforce Development Heroes.

On September 23 and 24, Nānākuli High School hosted its first-ever mock job interviews, providing a valuable opportunity for students to prepare for their future careers. The Chamber of Commerce supported Nanakuli by helping to secure 23 industry professionals representing many different fields. Ninety students took part in the interviews, gaining not only practical interview experience but also industry insights and networking opportunities.
