Gladys Quinto Marrone, CAE, is the executive director of Nareit Hawaii. She joined Nareit Hawaii in January 2020 and helped launch the Nareit Hawaii office the following month. In this role, she serves as the REIT industry’s chief spokesperson in Hawaii, working with Nareit’s senior management team to develop and execute a comprehensive state government affairs initiative, community engagement program, and public relations strategy; to coordinate outreach to investors and the investment community in Hawaii; to work with state and local community and charitable organizations, NGOs and government agencies to constructively address social issues of importance in Hawaii; and, to help represent REITs active in Hawaii.

Before joining Nareit Hawaii, Marrone was CEO and chief lobbyist for the Building Industry Association of Hawaii (BIA-Hawaii), where she served as the primary spokesperson and lead advocate in advancing BIA-Hawaii's mission. She also served as BIA-Hawaii’s chief administrative officer, providing professional association management services and overseeing all aspects of membership, signature consumer shows, the Hawaii Building Industry Foundation, and the Construction Training Center of the Pacific.

Marrone holds a B.S. in public administration from the Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California, and a J.D. from the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law.
