DETAILS:

DevLeague Prep is a 4-week deep dive course designed to give beginners with no programming experience an opportunity to learn the basics of coding through an introduction to front-end web development. The coverage of the course includes a hands on and thorough approach to HTML, CSS and JavaScript. All of which are skills necessary as first steps for a career start as a software developer, an industry that is high growth, high-salary and in-demand.

6 Outcomes you’ll get from DevLeague Prep:
1. Acquire the skills necessary to build simple websites
2. Understand the basics of coding common to all programming languages
3. Learn how to solve algorithms and impress your friends
4. Become a more efficient problem solver
5. Gain the prerequisite skills necessary to pass DevLeague’s coding challenge

Tuition: $735
Payments must be paid in full to secure a spot (max 20 seats).
Payment must be made by Jan. 31, 2016 to reserve a seat. Tuition is non-refundable. If you are accepted into the DevLeague boot camp, the $735 tuition will be credited toward your DevLeague boot camp tuition.

We cannot guarantee acceptance into our DevLeague boot camp. All applicants must apply and pass the coding challenge to be accepted.

DETAILS:

Rear Admiral Creighton, a native of Ridgefield, Connecticut, graduated in 1988 from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and was commissioned through the NROTC program. She graduated from the Naval Postgraduate School in 1997 with a Master of Science in Information Technology Management. Creighton has served in information dominance billets at all levels, afloat and shore, with multiple command and officer in charge assignments.

Shore assignments have included: Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic as Fleet Telecommunications Operations Center Watch Officer, Operations Management Officer and Officer in Charge, Naval Telecommunications Center Breezy Point; Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Europe Central as Plans and Requirements Department Head; Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Europe Central, Detachment London, as Officer in Charge; the Joint Staff, Directorate for Command, Control, Communications, and Computer Systems (J6), serving on the Director’s Action Group; and OPNAV N2/N6 as Chief of Staff, Task Force Cyber Awakening.

Fleet assignments have included: Flag Communications Officer to Commander, Carrier Strike Group TWO embarked in USS John F. Kennedy and USS Harry S. Truman; Assistant Chief of Staff for C4 to Commander, Carrier Strike Group TWELVE embarked in USS Enterprise where she completed two Fifth Fleet deployments supporting Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom; and N6/Deputy Maritime Operations Center Director to Fleet Cyber Command/Commander TENTH Fleet.

She commanded both Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station Sicily and Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station Bahrain.

Creighton is currently serving as the Director for Command, Control, Communications and  Cyber / Joint Cyber Center, U.S. Pacific Command.

She holds various decorations and awards, including two awards of the Legion of Merit and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.

We rely on them to run operations smoothly, oversee the day-to-day activities of employees, and minimize workplace problems.  But supervising employees is no simple matter. Managers and supervisors need specialized training to navigate the maze of labor and employment law requirements.

ES&A can help. The law firm, whose focus is on labor, employment, government contracts and grants, and corporate governance, offers a quarterly 3-part series that gives managers and supervisors basic training in key areas. Sessions are led by experienced HR advisors under the direction of licensed, active attorneys.

The cost of each session is $50 per person and includes parking, training materials, and refreshments. Attendees may sign up for one, two or all three sessions in the series.

Healthy Kids Day is a family event that encourages parents and their children to come out and have fun while learning about being healthy. There are activities, games and prizes for the whole ‘ohana!

Admission is free for Kama’āina and Military with valid ID and includes a free admission to the Bishop Museum and exhibits. Out-of-state guests who wish to enter Bishop Museum will be charged the normal entry fee.
