About Jamie
Jamie Delgadillo is the Managing Partner of Northwestern Mutual, Hawai’i. After over 18 years at Northwestern Mutual, Jamie established Hawai’i as a Network Office on August 1st, 2024. He started his journey as a Financial Advisor, where he spent eight years building a robust financial planning practice. After, he became Assistant Director of Distribution Performance and advised Managing Partners nationwide on financial management, talent, culture, compliance, and leadership in field offices. In 2018, he became Managing Director for the Hawai’i office. Under Jamie’s leadership, the office achieved remarkable success, earning national rankings for new advisor growth and productivity. Locally, the office has been recognized as one of the best places to work for seven consecutive years, a testament to the office’s positive and productive work environment. In his spare time, Jamie enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah and their three children, traveling, and playing pickleball.

Why do you want to become a mentor in this program?
I have benefitted from mentorship throughout my career. It has made an impact on career advancement. It is important to me to be able to pay it forward.
What specific skills, knowledge or experience can you share with your mentee?
Leadership, producing intentional outcomes.
What are your expectations for a mentor-mentee relationship?
My expectation is that my mentee comes prepared to take full advantage of the opportunity.
How do you approach problem-solving and conflict resolution?
It’s important to ask a lot of questions and fully understand a situation and understand whether or not I actually need to take any action.
How do you envision success for your mentee, and how will you measure it during the program?
That the mentee has achieved their goals, that they are progressing on achieving their vision.
