MidWeek East Oahu Voice: Chamber Of Commerce Opens/ Flood Relief Fund For Businesses
April 15, 2026
In response to the devastating Kona low storms that caused historic flooding, the Hawai‘i Chamber of Commerce Foundation has launched a relief fund to support small businesses on the North Shore as they recover and rebuild.
“Small businesses are the heart of the North Shore, bringing people together and sustaining their communities in so many ways,” states Sherry Menor, president and CEO of Chamber of Commerce Hawaiʻi and president of Hawai‘i Chamber of Commerce Foundation. “Even as they take on the difficult work of rebuilding, they continue to show up for their neighbors, supporting families who have been displaced and helping their communities move forward. We are committed to standing with them, ensuring they have the resources they need to recover, rebuild and remain strong anchors for the North Shore.”
Funds raised will go directly to eligible small businesses to assist with immediate recovery needs, including operational costs, supplies and workforce retention.
The foundation encourages businesses, community members and partners to contribute and help amplify support by sharing the initiative within their networks.
