At Pacific Business News, the future of Hawaii’s economy depends not only on innovation and investment, but on the people willing to lead with intention, values and a deep sense of place.

That’s why we are proud to serve as the media partner for the inaugural YP Onward Hawaii Fellows Program, a nine‑month leadership journey made possible through the support of the Jordan & Cara Odo Scholarship Foundation and the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii Young Professionals Program.

Bringing together emerging leaders committed to Hawaii’s future across business,
government and community, the program fosters thoughtful dialogue, hands‑on experiences and access to decision‑makers—reflecting the very best of what leadership development in Hawaii can and should be.

The inaugural cohort will graduate on April 10, culminating in presentations from all eight fellows on building greater local wealth and advancing a diversified, resilient Hawaii economy. PBN asked three fellows to share their perspectives, offering an early look at the leadership mindsets and ideas helping to shape Hawaii’s future.
