HONOLULU, HI – As artificial intelligence continues to reshape how businesses operate, the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii will host a hands-on workshop designed to help administrative professionals, coordinators, assistants, office staff and other support professionals put AI to work in their everyday roles.
The Practical AI Workshops for Support Staff with PICHTR will take place Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Pacific Guardian Tower. Led by Ian Kitajima, President & CEO of PICHTR, the interactive workshop will focus on practical applications participants can begin using immediately.
Rather than a traditional lecture, the workshop will give participants an opportunity to work directly with AI tools and workflows. Attendees will learn how to use AI to summarize meetings and lengthy documents, create agendas and reports, organize information, develop presentations, and build reusable prompts and workflows for recurring tasks.
The workshop will also cover important considerations around privacy, security, accuracy and responsible AI use. Participants will work with tools including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, NotebookLM, meeting transcription tools and other emerging AI platforms. All attendees should bring a laptop and power supply. No technical background is required. Registration includes continental breakfast and a bento lunch.
As Hawaii businesses navigate a changing workforce and increasingly technology-driven economy, helping employees at all levels build practical technology skills is an important part of maintaining the state’s economic competitiveness.
Cost is $249 for Chamber members and YP members; $270 for nonmembers. For more information and to register, visit cochawaii.org/events.
