HONOLULU, HI – The Chamber of Commerce Hawaii is now accepting applications for 2026 Public Health Fund (PHF) grants, supporting Oahu-based nonprofits working to strengthen community health, expand access to health education and services, and improve quality of life. Applications for the 2026 round of funding are due by December 18, 2026.

A healthy community is essential to a strong, resilient workforce and a competitive economy. Through the Public Health Fund, the Chamber supports organizations addressing critical community needs that help strengthen the foundation for Hawaii’s long-term economic growth. This work aligns with the 2030 Blueprint for Hawaii’s focus on building a resilient workforce, supporting community well-being and creating the conditions for businesses and communities to succeed.

Each year, the PHF awarded $100,000 to nonprofits supporting initiatives such as food security, mental health training, domestic violence support, youth mentoring, and medical and dental training programs.

“Health and economic prosperity are closely connected. When people have access to the resources and support they need to be healthy, our communities and businesses are stronger,” says Sherry Menor, President and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii. “The Public Health Fund allows us to partner with nonprofits that are addressing some of the challenges facing our communities and supporting the people who are essential to Hawaii’s future. We encourage organizations with innovative, community-focused programs to apply for this year’s funding.”

Administered by the Chamber, the Public Health Fund provides grants to Oahu-based nonprofit organizations for projects related to health education, research, and legislative advocacy. Each year, the volunteer PHF Advisory Committee reviews applications and recommends recipients to the Chamber’s Board of Directors for final approval. More than $100,000 in grants are awarded annually.
